Dream League is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Sun & Moon era. Released in Japan in 2019 with the set code SM11b, the expansion is especially known for placing the relationship between Pokémon and their Trainers at the center of its artwork. The set combines regular Pokémon, Pokémon-GX, TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX and Trainer cards with a distinctive selection of character-focused illustrations.
The Dream League card list features Pokémon such as Solgaleo & Lunala-GX, Reshiram & Zekrom-GX and Silvally-GX alongside regular Pokémon from several generations. Familiar Trainers from the Pokémon series also play an important role throughout the expansion. Characters such as Lillie, N and Rosa help give Dream League a stronger Trainer-focused identity than many other Japanese sets from the Sun & Moon era.
Character Rare cards are one of the defining characteristics of Dream League. These cards feature Pokémon together with Trainers closely associated with them, placing both characters within detailed illustrated scenes. Pokémon such as Pikachu, Piplup, Torkoal, Weavile, Magnemite and Excadrill appear in this style, creating artwork that focuses on the connection between Pokémon and Trainer rather than showing the Pokémon alone.
Collectors can find several rarity levels throughout the Japanese Dream League card list. Alongside regular cards and Pokémon-GX, the expansion contains Character Rare, Super Rare, Hyper Rare and additional Secret Rare cards. Full Art Trainers and alternative versions of selected Pokémon-GX further expand the collection, creating a varied checklist with a particularly strong emphasis on illustration and character artwork.
All Dream League cards on this collection page belong to the original Japanese SM11b expansion and feature Japanese-language card text. As a special expansion from the later Sun & Moon era, Dream League represents an important period for character-focused Pokémon artwork. The Character Rare concept introduced a style that would later return in different forms during subsequent eras of the Pokémon TCG.
