Islands Await You is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Sun & Moon era. Released in Japan in 2017 with the set code SM2K, the expansion continues the early Alola-focused period of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The set combines Pokémon from the Alola region with familiar species from earlier generations and includes regular Pokémon, Pokémon-GX and Trainer cards.
The Islands Await You card list features Pokémon such as Tapu Koko-GX, Tapu Bulu-GX, Vikavolt-GX and Kommo-o-GX alongside a varied selection of regular Pokémon and Evolution lines. The guardian deities of Alola play an important role in the expansion, while Pokémon from different generations add further variety to the collection and its range of Pokémon types.
Pokémon-GX are one of the defining characteristics of Islands Await You and represent several of the most recognizable cards within the set. These cards feature powerful GX attacks and expanded illustrations that distinguish them from regular Pokémon. Tapu Koko and Tapu Bulu provide a strong connection to the islands and guardian Pokémon of Alola, reinforcing the regional theme of the expansion.
Collectors can find several rarity levels throughout the Japanese Islands Await You card list. Alongside regular Pokémon and Pokémon-GX, the expansion includes Super Rare, Hyper Rare and additional Secret Rare cards. Full Art Pokémon-GX, Full Art Trainers and higher-rarity Trainer and Energy cards extend the collection beyond the regular numbered checklist and provide alternative versions of selected cards.
All Islands Await You cards on this collection page belong to the original Japanese SM2K expansion and feature Japanese-language card text. Islands Await You was released alongside Alolan Moonlight, with the two expansions representing different parts of the early Japanese Sun & Moon series. Together they continued the development of Alolan Pokémon, island guardians and the Pokémon-GX mechanic within the Pokémon TCG.
