Forbidden Light is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Sun & Moon era. Released in Japan in 2018 with the set code SM6, the expansion has a strong connection to Ultra Space and the mysterious Ultra Beasts introduced during the Alola generation. Ultra Necrozma plays a central role within the set, giving Forbidden Light a distinctive identity built around powerful Legendary Pokémon and Ultra Beasts.
The Forbidden Light card list features Pokémon such as Ultra Necrozma-GX, Zygarde-GX, Yveltal-GX, Dialga-GX, Palkia-GX and several Ultra Beasts. These Pokémon are accompanied by regular cards, Evolution lines and Trainer cards from different generations. The combination of Legendary Pokémon and Ultra Beasts creates a varied collection with several recognizable Pokémon represented throughout the set.
Pokémon-GX are an important part of Forbidden Light and include several of the expansion’s central Pokémon. Ultra Necrozma-GX is particularly recognizable and represents the powerful form of Necrozma associated with the later part of the Alola storyline. Other Pokémon-GX provide additional types and gameplay characteristics, while Ultra Beasts strengthen the expansion’s connection to Ultra Space.
Collectors can find several rarity levels throughout the Japanese Forbidden Light card list. Alongside regular Pokémon and Pokémon-GX, the expansion includes Super Rare, Hyper Rare and additional Secret Rare cards. Full Art Pokémon-GX, Full Art Trainers and higher-rarity Trainer and Energy cards extend the collection beyond the regular numbered checklist and provide alternative designs for several important cards.
All Forbidden Light cards on this collection page belong to the original Japanese SM6 expansion and feature Japanese-language card text. The Japanese set differs from the later English expansion of the same name in its exact card composition, making the original SM6 checklist the relevant collection for collectors specifically searching for Japanese Forbidden Light cards.
