Sky Legend is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Sun & Moon era. Released in Japan in 2019 with the set code SM10b, the expansion has a strong focus on Legendary Pokémon and the TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX mechanic. The set is particularly recognizable for bringing Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres together on a single card, creating one of the most distinctive TAG TEAM combinations from the later Sun & Moon period.
The Sky Legend card list features Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX as one of the defining cards of the expansion. The three Legendary birds from the Kanto region combine their Fire, Lightning and Ice characteristics within a single TAG TEAM card. The set also contains additional Pokémon-GX, regular Pokémon, Evolution lines and Trainer cards from different generations.
TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX are an important part of Sky Legend and represent the partnership-focused mechanics used throughout this period of the Pokémon TCG. The combination of all three Kanto Legendary birds is especially unusual because it places three Pokémon together rather than the two-Pokémon partnerships commonly found on TAG TEAM cards. Their different elemental identities also give the card a distinctive visual character within the expansion.
Collectors can find several rarity levels throughout the Japanese Sky Legend card list. Alongside regular Pokémon and Pokémon-GX, the expansion includes Super Rare, Hyper Rare and additional Secret Rare cards. Selected Pokémon-GX appear in Full Art and alternative artwork versions, while Trainer cards and other higher-rarity treatments extend the collection beyond the regular numbered checklist.
