Triplet Beat is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Scarlet & Violet era. Released in Japan in 2023 with the set code SV1a, the expansion places a strong focus on Pokémon from the Paldea region. The three Paldean starter Evolution lines play an important role throughout the set, giving Triplet Beat a recognizable identity among the early Japanese Scarlet & Violet expansions.
The Triplet Beat card list includes Meowscarada ex, Skeledirge ex and Quaquaval ex, the final Evolutions of Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly. These Pokémon ex are accompanied by their earlier Evolution stages and a wider selection of Pokémon from Paldea and previous generations. Trainer cards are also included throughout the expansion, creating a varied collection of Pokémon and characters from this period of the Pokémon TCG.
Art Rare cards are an important part of Triplet Beat and give several Pokémon their own detailed illustrated scenes. The Paldean starter Evolution lines are especially notable within the set, with cards that visually follow their development from the Basic Pokémon toward their final Evolutions. Higher-rarity cards expand the collection further with alternative versions of Pokémon ex and popular Trainer cards.
Several rarity levels can be found throughout the Japanese Triplet Beat card list. Alongside regular cards and Pokémon ex, collectors can find Art Rare, Super Rare, Special Art Rare and additional higher-rarity cards. Trainer cards such as Dendra also appear in collectible versions, adding further variety beyond the Pokémon-focused portion of the expansion.
