Violet ex is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion that helped introduce the Scarlet & Violet era. Released in Japan in 2023 with the set code SV1V, the expansion introduced Pokémon from the Paldea region alongside the returning Pokémon ex mechanic. Its futuristic influences and strong connection with Pokémon Violet give the set a distinctive identity among the earliest Japanese expansions of the Scarlet & Violet series.
The Violet ex card list features Pokémon such as Miraidon ex, Iron Treads ex, Magnezone ex, Banette ex and several other Pokémon from Paldea and previous generations. Miraidon is one of the defining Pokémon of the expansion and represents the Pokémon Violet side of the generation. Regular Pokémon, Evolution lines and Trainer cards complete the main collection and provide a broad selection of different card types.
Art Rare cards are an important part of Violet ex and feature selected Pokémon in detailed illustrated environments. These cards provide a more scene-focused interpretation of Pokémon such as Slowpoke and Drowzee, while higher-rarity cards expand the set with elaborate versions of Pokémon ex and Trainers. Miraidon ex is also represented through special artwork, making the Legendary Pokémon an important part of both the regular and higher-rarity sections of the set.
Collectors can find multiple rarity levels throughout the Japanese Violet ex card list. Alongside regular cards and Pokémon ex, the expansion includes Art Rare, Super Rare, Special Art Rare and additional higher-rarity cards. Trainer cards such as Miriam also appear in collectible versions, adding further variety for collectors interested in character-focused artwork alongside Pokémon cards.
All Violet ex cards on this collection page belong to the original Japanese SV1V expansion and feature Japanese-language card text. Violet ex was released alongside Scarlet ex, with the two sets marking the beginning of the Scarlet & Violet generation in the Japanese Pokémon TCG. Violet ex represents the Pokémon Violet side of this paired release, with its own selection of Pokémon, Trainers and special artwork.
